Welcome to the Port Orange Community Garden Forum!

Posts on this Forum are only for gardeners in the POCG. While we are delighted for you to read and learn about our gardening triumphs and tribulations, it is not an open blog. If you would like to have a plot in the POCG, there is a waiting list and we'd be happy to add your name. Please contact Pat.

Thanks for taking time to read our Blog and if you have any questions about starting a community garden, you can contact the administrator and your message will be forwarded to the proper person for answering.

Port Orange Community Garden

8th Annual Port Orange Community Gardens Sign up and Planting March 12, 2016!
Mark your calendars everyone, it is time to get the Spring Gardens planted.  Sign up and planting is at 9:00, March 12, or rain date of March 19.  If you know someone that wants to garden with us, please give them Mr. Gill's email or phone number so he can get them signed up early.

The list of plants available is not ready yet, but there will be a good selection.  Since we are planting on the second Saturday, there will not be any cabbage available due to our warmer winter.  If you want to plant some of the cooler weather crops, you can start them at home now.  If you already have a plot and plan to garden with us again, you can get your plot ready early and plant your cabbage. Just let Pat or Lonny know you intend to garden again, otherwise your plot could mistakenly be given away.

I will try to post more here as I get plant lists or any other pertinent information.  Mr. Gill will most likely be on site Saturday mornings around 9 or 9:30 if you want to pay him early for your plot.
Happy Gardening to all!
